Here’s GameFly’s most popular games list for the week ending September 7, 2009.

A bevy of games will be released in mid- to late-September, and this list reflects the demand for many of them.

We’re excited about WET, an action-adventure game from Bethesda, the fine folks that gave us the incredible Elder Scrolls games and Fallout 3. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 should be awesome as well.

Oddly, the soon-to-be-released Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story for the DS is trailing the latest Professor Layton puzzler. That won’t last long.
